about
The song was hastily written and a demo version recorded on Christmas Eve 2014. I finally got around to recording a proper version of the song and here it is, with an additional verse lyric written just prior to this recording.
With all the madness going on in the world today, the song is a reminder that if we all just stop and look around there does remain a bit of hope in the world. You just sometimes have to make an effort to see it or create it.
lyrics
The shops in town are closing down
The cold of night is setting in
You're walking home through faded pasts
Good feelings never seem to last anymore
You can't help but wonder
Why everyone's hurting
Hurting each other these days
But here you are In Christmas Time
It seems this madness never ends
It sometimes feels like love will never win
Just reach out and lend a hand
You’re love will grow and soon you’ll understand
Please just remember
There's good out there somewhere
Waiting for us to arrive
It's always there In Christmas Time
It's waiting there In Christmas Time
It seems this madness never ends
It sometimes feels like love will never win
Just reach out and lend a hand
You’re love will grow and soon you’ll understand
Please just remember
There's good out there somewhere
Waiting for us to arrive
It's always there In Christmas Time
It's waiting there In Christmas Time
Here you are In Christmas Time
Here we are In Christmas Time
