about
When I initially sat down to write this song, it was going to be about the strangeness of the world we are in right now, specifically surrounding quarantine. However, it ended up being a song about depression instead.
Of course, I don't like to keep tings too dark so I put a bit of hope in there, but it's about how I was feeling at the time of writing it and still somewhat feel currently.
lyrics
Sun down In Strangertown
All of the signs you see around you
Just make no sense
You’re feeling lost
You feel so blind
your world you feel is being trapped inside.
Time slows in Strangertown
Your feelings and your thoughts
are just confusing you
You want to run
You want to hide
Loneliness cannot break you tonight
The houses on this street all look the same
You feel this place you're in will never change
Look up and see
The stars still shine
Sun up in Strangertown
You wonder if things
Will ever be the same
It’s time to change
It’s time to fly
The life you want’s in the world outside.
The houses on this street all look the same
You feel this place you're in will never change
Look up and see
The sun still shines
Sun down In Strangertown...
